No matter how near or far you’re moving you should plan well ahead in advance so that the actual move-in day isn’t chaotic. Regardless of the reasons why you’re moving to the city, keep in mind that staying organized is one of the best ways to make your move to New York a successful one.
Thank you, kristenhunt07 for your sage advice. We moved in July 2012. We did plan in advance. Planning and packing, are not the same thing, however. It was chaotic. Planned chaos. We moved from one city to another city. We did not move to New York, though I understand it is quite lovely there. Should we ever move again (they'll have to take me kicking and screaming) (and likely riddled with dementia) I'll be sure to check out your helpful link to moving supplies. Best regards.
