Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12, f/3.5, 1/250 sec., ISO-80, no flash, camera hand held. Photoshop edits: Unsharp Mask, High Pass Filter, Brightness/Contrast adjustment, cropping and text.

366 of 2012 - Day 113

366 of 2012 - Day 113. The Lily of the Valley Bush is one of my favorite subjects. There are several throughout the townhouse complex and they have a bit of variation. Also known as Pieris Japonica, I've also heard it called the Flame of the Forest or Forest Flame by a friend in England.

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12 in AV mode, white balance set to cloudy, f/2.8, 1/320 sec., ISO-125, 6 mm focal length, no flash, camera hand held. Photoshop edits: Cloning out leaf on bottom right, Unsharp Mask, High Pass Filter, Curves balance, cropping and text.

366 of 2012 - Day 111

366 of 2012 - Day 111. What? You say if I keep posting pictures of flowers, I should know what they are? Fine. After an exhaustive (read: under 10 minutes) search on Google, I think these are Aubrieta Deltoidea, which is also known as Rock Cress or Lilacbush. You're welcome.

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12, f/2.8, 1/1000 sec., ISO-320, 6 mm focal length, no flash, camera hand held. This is a SOOC (straight out of camera) shot, cropped and text added in Photoshop.

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12, f/3.5, 1/160 sec., ISO-500, 12 mm focal length, no flash, camera hand held. 366 of 2012 - Day 106

366 of 2012 - Day 106. I do love Periwinkle - day 3! Last one. I really liked this shot as I have stopped using the AUTO setting and have been learning to use the TV and AV settings and was impressed with the depth of field in this shot.

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12, f/3.5, 1/160 sec., ISO-200, 12 mm focal length, no flash, camera hand held. Edited with Unsharp Mask and High Pass Filter when I cropped and added text in Photoshop.

366 of 2012 - Day 105

366 of 2012 - Day 105. I do love Periwinkle! It grows right outside my home and I'm in love with it. You can find blooms on it all through the year, but springtime is when it really takes off!

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12, f/2.8, 1/2000 sec., ISO-1250, 6 mm focal length, no flash, camera hand held. This shot was edited with Unsharp Mask and High Pass Filter when I cropped and added text in Photoshop.

Remember the Maple Tree? Well the seeds have opened and it seems the middle pods didn't open at all. It occurred to me that it might be because they were going to become leaves and I think I'm right!

And this is what the seeds did to my car in the rain. My poor car was covered in them! And they stick! I'll keep updating as the tree develops leaves and if it develops helicopter seeds. I don't think this variety will, but we'll see!

366 of 2012 - Day 103

366 of 2012 - Day 103. Sun Flare Weeb, day 4! Last one, I think. This is another shot from Sunday, as the weather and this working for a living thing is not cooperating with my need to get out and take photos.

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12, taken on AV, set to Sunny, f/8, 1/800 sec., ISO-160, 6 mm focal length, no flash, camera hand held. This is a SOOC (straight out of the camera) shot, except for cropping and text, which I did in Photoshop.

366 of 2012 - Day 102

366 of 2012 - Day 102. Sun Flare Weeb, day 3! We were hoping to get a sun flare through her crystal (read: glass). This one worked a little bit better than the shot I posted yesterday. This is another shot from Sunday, as I haven't had the opportunity to get out into the brief moments of sun for the past couple of days.

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12, taken on AV, set to Sunny, f/8, 1/1250 sec., ISO-100, 6 mm focal length, no flash, camera hand held. This is a SOOC (straight out of the camera) shot, except for cropping and text, which I did in Photoshop.

366 of 2012 - Day 101. Sun Flare Weeb, day 2! We were hoping to get a sun flare through her crystal (read: glass). It didn't work, but we still really liked the result.

I also did a bit of work in removing part of a tree part of a townhouse and the top of Weeb's head (sorry Weeb). Can't tell though, can ya? Nope, Photoshop is awesome!

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12, f/2.8, 1/60 sec., ISO-400, 6 mm focal length, no flash, camera hand held. I applied Unsharp Mask, adjusted Brightness/Contrast and exposure. Cropped for size and added text in Photoshop. It's cropped to a stupid size because I wasn't planning on printing it so I figured I could crop it however I liked.

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12, f/2.8, 1/500 sec., ISO-1250, 6 mm focal length, no flash, camera hand held. I edited this shot slightly by applying Unsharp Mask and adjusted the Levels slightly when I cropped for size and added text in Photoshop.

366 of 2012 - Day 94

366 of 2012 - Day 94. More Cherry Blossoms. I was reading somewhere that our Cherry Blossoms are supposed to be at their peak around Metro Vancouver, this week.

And yes, I finally changed my signature. Yasher's Crappy Pictures has been upgraded to Yasher Has a Camera. Thank you to everyone in my FB groups who have given me such positive reinforcement and thanks to those who are helping me push forward to becoming a better photographer!

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12, Auto Setting (I was double parked and in a hurry), f/4, 1/125 sec., ISO-80, Exposure bias 0 step, 6 mm focal length, max aperture 2.96875, no flash, camera hand held. I edited this shot slightly by applying Unsharp Mask and High Pass Filter very, very slightly, when I cropped for size and added text.
