366 of 2012 - Day 213

366 of 2012 - Day 213. I get awesome views of the moon from the backyard of the The Bodacious Brown House.

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12 - f/5.6, 1/60 sec., ISO-100, camera hand held. Cropped, added text and adjusted Exposure and applied Unsharp Mask and High Pass Filter with Photoshop.

366 of 2012 - Day 212

366 of 2012 - Day 212. This is a shot of the hill just behind our house. It goes up. A lot. I'm going to find myself in VERY good shape after a few months of walking to the school to pick up my girl and home again, once school starts. Yup, here be hills.

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12 - f/5.6, 1/60 sec., ISO-320, camera hand held. Cropped, added text and adjusted Levels and applied Unsharp Mask with Photoshop.

366 of 2012 - Day 211

366 of 2012 - Day 211. I now live off a long, hilly road (in a bodacious brown shoe box). It's pretty cool.

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12 - f/4, 1/500 sec., ISO-125, camera hand held. Cropped, added text and adjusted Levels and applied Unsharp Mask with Photoshop.

366 of 2012 - Day 210

366 of 2012 - Day 210. Once upon a time, someone thought - hey, let's move families into shoe box houses. And the people went for it. People like us. Because shoe box houses are where it's at, yo. Our box is around the corner, on the left.

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12 - f/2.8, 1/1000 sec., ISO-160, camera hand held. Cropped, added text and adjusted Levels with Photoshop.

366 of 2012 - Day 209

366 of 2012 - Day 209. Yeah. I'm done. For a little while. I'm sitting down now. Like, for a few hours. I hurt. Everywhere. But we have a Bodacious Brown House! I don't see a lot of photography or timely blog updates in my near future.

Taken with my iPhone, cropped and text added with Photoshop. And yes, I was so tired when I edited these that I tagged everything for the next week as 'Yasher Has an iPod. I meant to say iPhone. Moving turns your brain into mush.

366 of 2012 - Day 208

366 of 2012 - Day 208. Unpacking doesn't suck quite as much as packing. But it's close. I don't see a lot of photography or timely blog updates in my near future.

366 of 2012 - Day 207

366 of 2012 - Day 207. We have officially moved into The Bodacious Brown House! Exhausted. And now we have to UNpack the millions and millions of boxes and bits of furniture and stuff and junk and crap that we so proudly call our own.

366 of 2012 - Day 206

366 of 2012 - Day 206. Packing sucks. Moving sucks. Cleaning the place you're moving out of when all you want to do is have some magic force move all the stuff into your new home and unpack it also, rather, sucks.

366 of 2012 - Day 205

366 of 2012 - Day 205. Packing is exhausting. Something about this funky skeleton finger puppet on an empty bookshelf made me laugh. I suspect insanity has crept closer than usual. I don't see a lot of photography or timely blog updates in my near future.

366 of 2012 - Day 204

366 of 2012 - Day 204. I have many lovely Sharpies. I can never find them when I want them. Unpacking is going to be a bit of an adventure. I don't see a lot of photography or timely blog updates in my near future.

366 of 2012 - Day 202

366 of 2012 - Day 202. Weeb, like most kids, I think, has a fascination with sticks. This one has been outside our front door for a couple of weeks.

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12, f/8, 1/20 sec., ISO-800, -0.7 step exposure bias (accidentally), no flash, camera handheld, shot outdoors. Edited with Photoshop; cropped, added text, applied Unsharp Mask and High Pass Filter very slightly then added a background Texture and bumped up Saturation in PicMonkey.

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12, f/2.8, 1/50 sec., ISO-800, no flash, camera handheld, shot outdoors. Edited with Photoshop; cropped, added text, applied Unsharp Mask and High Pass Filter very slightly then added a background Texture in PicMonkey.

366 of 2012 - Day 200

366 of 2012 - Day 200. I found this quarter on my dresser. I collect coins and I'm sure I pulled it out of my loose change because of the unusual design. Granted, Canada seems to mint a million different kinds of quarters, but I still put them aside if it's not the usual Queeny/Moose design. I like how the focus turned out, really sharp on FAMILY.

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12, f/2.8, 1/60 sec., ISO-200, no flash, camera handheld, shot outdoors. Edited with Photoshop; cropped, added text, applied Unsharp Mask and High Pass Filter very slightly.

366 of 2012 - Day 199

366 of 2012 - Day 199. I suppose it doesn't take too much imagination to animate this inanimate face.  this little guy has been sitting on a shelf in my room for more than a decade.

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12, f/2.8, 1/25 sec., ISO-800, no flash, camera handheld, shot outdoors. Edited with Photoshop; cropped, added text, applied Unsharp Mask and High Pass Filter to eyes and face only, applied a Smudge Texture in PicMonkey.

366 of 2012 - Day 198

366 of 2012 - Day 198. This is a bracelet that belonged to a dear friend who is watching over us from the stars. I used it once before when I was doing a project learning to use my camera histogram, in April, but never used it as a photo of the day. I took this shot this week.

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12, f/2.8, 1/20 sec., ISO-800, no flash, camera handheld, shot outdoors. Edited with Photoshop; cropped, added text, applied Unsharp Mask and High Pass Filter, and Cloned out a white spot that was just beyond the green construction paper that I was using as background.

366 of 2012 - Day 197

366 of 2012 - Day 197. Any guesses what this is? It's a crystal earring with a little metal dude clinging on for dear, metallic life. Plus it's on a mirror. The focus is on the reflection, just to throw you a bit.

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12, f/4, 1/125 sec., ISO-125, no flash, camera handheld, shot outdoors. Edited with Photoshop; cropped, added text, applied Unsharp Mask, adjusted Brightness and then Cloned out a bunch of distracting areas (like reflection of trees and the eaves of our townhouse).

366 of 2012 - Day 196

366 of 2012 - Day 196. This is a Galileo Thermometer. (I quote from Wikipedia), "A Galileo thermometer (or Galilean thermometer) is a thermometer made of a sealed glass cylinder containing a clear liquid and a number of floats whose densities are such that they rise or fall as the temperature changes." More precisely, this is a negative of a photo of a Galileo Thermometer. And I don't think it works terribly well, as I have 3 of them and they all show different temperatures at any given time. But it looks neat.

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12, f/4, 1/60 sec., ISO-160, no flash, camera handheld, shot outdoors. Edited with Photoshop; cropped, added text, applied Unsharp Mask, then converted to negative using Curves.

366 of 2012 - Day 195

366 of 2012 - Day 195. When my stepson was about 5 years old, he got a pair of toy handcuffs with two little keys. I was new to the step parenting thing and I was terrified he was going to lose the keys and get trapped so I took one of them and kept it. It only took about a day and a half for him to figure out how to get out of the toy cuffs without the aid of a key, so I'm not sure why I hung onto it. He's 17 now. We're moving and getting rid of the things we no longer need. Somehow, I can't part with this little key.

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12, f/4, 1/40 sec., ISO-125, no flash, camera handheld, shot outdoors. Edited with Photoshop; cropped, added text, and applied Unsharp Mask.

366 of 2012 - Day 194

366 of 2012 - Day 194. Still packing, packing, packing. I once again tip toe back into my archives for a shot I took a few months ago (this year) for a friend who makes jewelry. I hadn't realised how difficult it was to photograph jewelry until I started shooting it in mass quantities. I found I really liked playing with the focus to highlight certain parts of the piece.

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12, f/2.8, 1/30 sec., ISO-250, no flash, camera handheld, shot indoors. Edited with Photoshop; cropped, added text, and applied Unsharp Mask.

366 of 2012 - Day 193. Packing, packing, packing. I am tip toeing back into my archives for a shot I took a few months ago (this year) for a friend who makes jewelry. I think it's one of my favorite jewelry shots and I wanted to show it off.

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12, f/2.8, 1/30 sec., ISO-250, no flash, camera handheld, shot indoors. Edited with Photoshop; cropped, added text, and applied Unsharp Mask.

366 of 2012 - Day 192

366 of 2012 - Day 192. Moving day is coming fast and I decided to snap a shot of this awesome candle stick before I packed it away. The fellow who made it (I've long forgotten his company name, sadly) was selling stuff door-to-door where I worked many years ago. I bought many of these, some for myself, some for friends, some for family. I just love the shape of it. They are made by hand so each is slightly different than the next. The shot looked better without the candle.

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12, f/4, 1/160 sec., ISO-80, no flash, camera handheld, shot outdoors. Edited with Photoshop; cropped, added text, and adjusted contrast or something or other in PicMonkey, though I've forgotten what I did now.

366 of 2012 - Day 191

366 of 2012 - Day 191. This is my tiny knit zombie, Bernerd. I'll admit, I didn't take this photo today. It was probably a couple of weeks ago, but I love the shot. I've focused nicely on his eyes, as you can tell.

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12, f/2.8, 1/13 sec., ISO-1600, no flash, camera handheld, shot outdoors. Edited with Photoshop; cropped, added text, cloned out paperclip I use to make him stand and cloned out a large speck of dust, also applied Unsharp Mask very slightly.

Taken with my Canon PowerShot G12, f/4, 1/125 sec., ISO-250, no flash, camera handheld, shot indoors - standing in open doorway. Edited with Photoshop; cropped, added text, applied Surface Blur to face and sharpened eyelashes ever so slightly with Unsharp Mask.
